How to send SMS invitations using the upload a list

Great! Let's send your campaign invites out by uploading a CSV or an xls file in your SocialV Dashboard

Preparing your customers file



You can upload a XLS or CSV file. Please ensure that the file contains the following required header format:

First NameLast NameCell PhoneTransaction Date
JaneJohnson 4155551000MM/DD/YYYY

Take the time to remove duplicates and empty cells

Uploading your customers list



To start the process follow these steps:

Log into your dashboard
Click Campaigns
Select the Campaign you wish to invite your customers to
From the Essentials tab click on the Upload A List button



Adding Your File



You can drag and drop or select the XLS/CSV file from you computer.


Matching Fields



After successfully uploading your customer list you'll want to match the fields from your file with the required fields.

We will do our best to match the required fields based on your file's column headers

Once you've mapped the fields, click Next: Review to review the quality of your file.


Reviewing Your File



Now our system will review the file based on the data and identify any records that can't be included. Some issues that will make a record invalid:

The cell phone is already in use with the current campaign
The cell phone number is duplicated in the file
The cell phone number is invalid
There is missing data for the record
The cell phone number has opted out

If you have any Invalid Customers we will display these and allow you to download the CSV file.

Invalid customers don't keep you from preparing the valid customers to be sent SMS invitations

If you're ready to add those valid customers to the prepared invites queue, click Add Customers.


Sending Your Prepared Invites



Your invites are prepared! Before you send them you can customize your campaign to optimize your customers experience once they receive their SMS invitation.


A few areas to customize are:

Invitation Text Message



This section lets you customize the invitation experience:

Include an image with your invitation text message for familiarity and trust
Customize you invitation message to suit your needs
Enable/disable and customer follow up message to remind your customers to share their video experience

Welcome Video



We recommend you provide a custom welcome video. It's the first thing your customers see after the loading screen when they click the invitation link from the SMS message. To learn more about creating a welcome video please read this article

Thank You/Reward Text Message



You can customize the message that is sent to your customers that successfully submit a video.

Send Invites



No that you've customized the above features to create the best possible experience for your customers, you're ready to send the prepared invites. To send the prepared invites you will need to:

Click Send Invites

You can review and cancel your prepared invites

We offer tips to boost video clip creation and clicking on the links will direct you to the section where you can make the customizations to improved your success.
When you're ready, click Send ### Invites Now


Once your prepared invites are sent you can view the stats from that send.


If you haven't reached your limit of invitations send you can go back to the Add Your Customers section and prepare more invitations to be sent and return to the Send Invites section to send.
